This program has given my daughter a new outlook on education
and encouraged her to go forward with college. It renewed her
goals and drive that had been lost in the crowd at the other school.

best thing about Frontiers is that it offers a different sense of
place and purpose for students who do not "fit" the typical
high school model, whether due to social aspects, scheduling, and/or
academics. Never before have we been aware of a program that supports
a high-achieving student who is looking for an alternative to the
traditional M-F 7:30-2:30 high school. Until Frontiers, our only
options were programs that seemed to cater strictly to under-prepared
or at-risk students - or - homeschooling. Keep up the inclusiveness
- highly motivated, academically prepared students need options
too. |

feel that the Frontiers Program is THE BEST decision that WPS has
made. It should be considered as a model for all of the high school
students. Allowing students to move at their own pace provides them
with the opportunity to excel in their individual classes without
forcing them into a cookie cutter mold. Teachers are available for
assistance in all subjects and the students feel good about themselves
when they have some of the responsibility in their own hands. |

for students when the typical classroom setting doesn't work for
them. My daughter will be heading to a college next year that only
takes 60% of its applicants - she never thought that dream was possible...Frontiers
(and caring Frontiers teachers that encouraged her) made that dream
a reality. As parents, we couldn't be happier! |
